Then fast forward like a day later and MAC used the same concept to create the gorgeous lip look at Kenneth Cole (pictured above)! Here’s what they used: Using the lipstick as opposed to just the liner made it a more comfy wear because although Prince Noir is a matte as well, it’s not as drying on the lips as Ruby Woo. After my two month red lip hiatus, I resurfaced my beloved shade by mixing it with MAC Prince Noir (applied like a liner) and then put Ruby Woo in the center. Then I also noticed that makeup artist Jonathan Nathaniel did a similar look with Nightmoth lip liner, Charred lipstick, and Ruby Woo lipstick in the center of the lip on VH1’s Yandy Smith. Mix it with a super goth deep dark berry! A MAC artist once had a really awesome lip on one time when I was buying makeup and when I pinned her in a corner politely asked her what she was wearing she told me Ruby Woo with Nightmoth Lip Pencil lining around the edges and then blended in a bit. You could add a balm, but you can alter the finish, so what else do you do? We all love MAC Ruby Woo, the retro matte blue-red that looks insanely good on SOOO many, but let’s face it, that thang can be super drying.
